Greywolf is a Recruitment services and consulting practice founded in 1990 by its principal, Kim Butler. In 1996, Kim began characterizing activities common to Manufacturing, Sales, and Recruitment processes, seeking opportunities to apply performance improvement methods from one process into the others.

Customer Discovery

His efforts resulted in Greywolf’s introduction of Customer Discovery in 2009, applying the skills and abilities of a retained search firm to the front end of the strategic account Sales process, with tremendous success.

That success propelled Kim into executive-level Business Development roles with two technology startups, Maja Systems and Halo Industries.  With Halo, Kim led the company’s Business Development and Talent efforts, recruiting multiple executives and leaders, as well as 25% of the company’s elite technical team.

Kim left Halo in April 2025 to restart Greywolf. His continued research into the application of known, successful methods, techniques, and tools from Manufacturing to Recruiting use cases has produced the solutions and services offered by Greywolf today.

Yes, but at present, only those versions of the course developed for specific customers can be formatted for e-learning delivery.  We’re planning to make the base versions of the 4 modules available as an e-learning option via the Greywolf website in 2027.

Yes, the size of the customer’s employee population doesn’t matter, although we generally feel customers should have a minimum of 150 employees.

Yes, although this customization is typically led by the customer, such that cultural and language factors are given appropriate consideration. 

No, Greywolf is agnostic regarding the Interviewing Methodologies and Applicant Tracking Systems used by its customers.  Everything we do was designed for ease of customization, regardless of existing infrastructure and practices.
